2024 6WW7 is a membrane protein complex of multiple proteins that functions as a “guide” for other proteins to find locations within the lipid bilayer of a human cell. In addition, these protein complexes make the lipid bilayer more accessible by thinning the local area using positive charges to weaken the bilayer and allow for easier insertion.
The following protein complex was founded by Pleiner, T., et al, 2020.
