A workshop created to exchange ideas between design and science experts on effective visual communication (VisCom) in patient education.
This workshop included interactive discussions, in a “debate” style, designed to encourage discourse on how cancer-related topics, such as therapy, should be presented to patients.
The participants were split into two groups and were tasked with defending the use of either calm or ominous aesthetics in the visual communication of cancer. The dialogue of this workshop was additionally used to supplement the thesis: Changing Cancer Perceptions.
